Quality Control Program:
Engiplas specializes in manufacturing process-lined equipment including vessels/tanks, columns, filters and strainers, and piping systems, adhering to stringent standards such as the European Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/UE, ASME Code Section VIII Division 1, and ISO 9001:2015. These certifications are awarded by Engiplas’s Notified Body for the full range of products.
In addition to evaluations conducted by external auditors and continuous internal reviews, Engiplas implements a comprehensive inspection and testing protocol throughout the entire manufacturing process:
-
Raw Material (Steel): Acceptance standards for initial inspections include verification of certificates compliance, visual inspections, and dimensional checks.
-
Raw Material (Fluoropolymers): Acceptance criteria include compliance with certificate requirements, physical property evaluations such as density, elongation, yield tests, and continuous monitoring of visual inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
-
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Performed in accordance with relevant standards or upon request. Radiographic Testing (RT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) are carried out by technicians certified to Level II.
-
Dimensional and Visual Examination: Liners and steel parts are subjected to dimensional and visual inspections to assess weld quality, overall dimensions, liner thickness, the absence of surface defects, and paint thickness.
-
Pressure Testing: Hydrostatic or pneumatic tests are conducted according to the applicable standards.
-
Thermal Testing: Thermal inspections are carried out either once or in a cycle pattern, depending on the temperature and pressure requirements.
-
Spark Testing: Each lined piece undergoes spark testing with a voltage of 5000 * E (where E = liner thickness in mm), up to a maximum of 25000 V.
